'Tis going to be the season (Christmas,Hannukah,Yuletide and other winter/religious holidays) for giving presents soon.
But will it be a season for well-thought-out but frugal giving or will it be a season for going into massive debt and buying whatever new gadgets and gizmos that Madison Avenue is pushing this season?
Fellow frugal Richmonders, let's make this a frugal season in which we give presents that will truly be needed and appreciated and that also fit our budgets.
And let's not forget those less fortunate than ourselves.
If you, like me, are a Christian, keep Jesus as the reason for the season and by keeping your focus on Jesus, you will naturally avoid the yearly holiday homage to the retail industry.

When I heard that Target and WalMart were starting their Christmas ads right after Halloween, I vowed to not buy gifts until the New Year.
Enough is enough.
