August 7, 8 & 9, 2009 are the dates of the SALES TAX HOLIDAY for back-to-school items for Virginians. Check the Virginia Department of Taxation site for a complete list of applicable purchases. This tax holiday often coincides with retail sales for such items, so stock up on those school supplies at a discount and tax-free!
